In 1968, John Landstrom, Don Van Auken and Glenn
Wilson founded TITAN Freight Systems, their goal was to be
recognized in the marketplace as a service leader. After the
initial startup proved successful, Both John and Don followed
their entrepreneurial spirits and created two separate businesses.
In 1972, Glenn purchased the interests of the two and consolidated
ownership of the company. The success of Titan and its original
focus of becoming a service leader is evident by the relationships
that have spanned over 30 years with many of the leading businesses
in the region such as Fred Meyer, Tektronix, Xerox, Precision
Castparts, Blount, Block Graphics and Wright Business Graphics.
Over three decades ago, Titan began as two different
companies, Air-Go and Mark-7 Delivery, catering to the airfreight
cartage and local trucking markets, respectively. On January
1st, 1998, the two companies were combined and re-named TITAN
Freight Systems. The name change corresponds with a focus
on offering a new brand of transportation leadership. The
emphasis is to expand from providing excellent time-sensitive
services in the Portland Metropolitan area to becoming the
premier overnight LTL (Less-than-TruckLoad) carrier in the
region. Our commitment as this new millennium begins is to
continually strive to offer the highest level of customer
satisfaction and service available in the Great Northwest.
